Learn the basics of spirits in one day with this fun, interactive course suitable for people who have little to no prior knowledge of spirits. This course is ideal for those beginning a career in the liquor industry or pursuing an interest in spirits. You will discover the main styles and types of spirits and will learn to taste using the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting to develop an understanding of the key factors affecting flavours and aromas. Students will be required to sit a 45 minute, 30 multiple-choice question exam paper at the end of the course day. What you will learn: • The basic principles of spirit production • The main types and styles of spirits • Factors affecting the flavour of spirits • How to serve spirits • How to taste & describe spirits using the WSET Level 1 Systematic Approach to Tasting Spirits® (SAT) Students who successfully pass the exam, will receive the globally recognised WSET Level 1 Award in Spirit certificate and pin. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations notified in writing more than 14 days before the program begins are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations notified within 14 days of the program will not receive a refund; however, a substitute may attend in your place. If a program is cancelled by Wine Intuition, you are entitled to a full refund. If you register and pay within 14 days of the course commencement date you will not be eligible for a refund.
