About the event
Just north of Gevrey-Chambertin lies the picturesque appellation of Fixin. Known for producing robust 'wintery' reds, the wines from this commune have traditionally been enjoyed by locals rather than exported. Established in 1936, this Village appellation in the Côte de Nuits is planted on clay-limestone soils along the slopes, giving rise to an exceptional terroir that offers a wide range of expressions.
Its winegrowing heritage includes several Premier Cru Climats such as “Clos Napoléon” and “Les Hervelets” that contribute to the appellation’s strong reputation.
Come along and discover this Côte de Nuits appellation for yourself in this masterclass led live from Bourgogne via videolink by Robin Kick MW and hosted by Andrea Pritzker MW, Australia's Bourgogne Wine Ambassador.
The masterclass will feature an overview of the appellation’s key features through video segments and interviews with passionate winegrowers and will also include a guided tasting of six Fixin wines that capture…
