Service Description
The WSET Level 3 Award in Spirits is an advanced-level qualification offering a detailed understanding of the spirits of the world. Open to both liquor industry professionals and enthusiasts, it represents the pinnacle of structured spirits education. Please note there are no fixed lectures for this course. The Feb 24 and April 27th dates are there to allow the course to be displayed on the website. Held entirely online via the WSET Global classroom, the course will cover a broad range of categories. You'll gain a deep understanding of the raw materials and production processes behind the different categories, and your expert online educator will work with you to develop your analytic tasting abilities through a carefully selected series of spirits samples. This qualification is intended to build on knowledge and skills gained from the WSET Level 2 Award in Spirits. Through a combination of tasting and the application of theoretical knowledge you will learn to explain confidently why spirits look and taste the way they do and how and why they differ from each other. You will also develop the tasting skills required to accurately describe and evaluate a spirit. The course will cover: The techniques used in spirit production: Processing of raw materials Alcoholic fermentation Distillation Post-distillation practices Factors affecting the style and quality of spirits, studying eleven core spirit categories in detail: Scotch Whisky Bourbon Rye Whiskey Tennessee Whiskey Cognac Armagnac Caribbean rum Tequila Mezcal Vodka Gin The characteristics of 23 additional spirit categories, focusing on: Principal production methods Key styles Key labelling terms How to taste and describe spirits using the WSET Level 3 Systematic Approach to Tasting SpiritsĀ® (SAT) EXAM: In person: Monday May 5th 10:30-1:00 PM Venue: Level 21, 133 Castlereagh Street, Sydney Entry Requirements: You must be 18 years of age or older to enrol This course is open to students who have passed the WSET Level 2 Award in Spirits.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations notified in writing more than 14 days before the program begins are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations notified within 14 days of the program will not receive a refund; however, a substitute may attend in your place. If a program is cancelled by Wine Intuition, you are entitled to a full refund. If you register and pay within 14 days of the course commencement date you will not be eligible for a refund.
